![]() Prior to her inception in the wellness world Emily worked in Freelance television, video, photography, and radio. Emily was the Fitness 805 Developer of wellness programs for corporations in Santa Barbara and the Central Coast. We are excited to be relocating to Santa Barbara, California in August 2020Įmily is originally from Cornwall England, and studied here in the US where she now resides with her family in Santa Barbara. Wanting to bring the philosophy of Core to others for an optimal approach to wellbeing, Heidi partners with other talented, inspirational instructors and teachers to create successful, meaningful, workshops and retreats in the US and abroad. Heidi began her study and practice of mindfulness and meditation in 2010, which she found to be profound in all aspects of her life, and advised her approach in developing comprehensive, meaningful, classes and programs. In 2008 she was introduced to resistance stretching and strengthening, and realizing how beneficial it is for maintaining optimal joint mobility, integrated techniques into her classes and training. After a move to Telluride Colorado, she became the co-founder of a fitness studio called Work Out. She studied and practiced Ashtanga yoga and created the Core Method Class, which incorporates principals from Pilates and Yoga, for improving strength and flexibility. Moving to the East Coast in 2006, she started her business Core Fit & Well. Julie Anthony with stress tests while also designing training protocols and working as a physical therapy assistant. Being a ski instructor and competitive runner, she was looking for effective conditioning techniques to share with others. Her eagerness to find new ways to help clients rehab from injuries, combined with her curiosity about methods of strength training led her to study Pilates in Boulder, Colorado. Heidi began working in the wellness world 3 decades ago at The Sports Medicine Institute in Aspen Colorado.
